Ablation vs. Medical management of atrial fibrillation in heart failure with Preserved Ejection fRaction and its effects on Exercise capacity (AMPERE): A pilot study

To determine if PVI in the HFpEF population leads to effective AF burden reduction and to demonstrate feasibility in conducting a prospective single-center non-blinded randomized control trial comparing the effects of catheter ablation of AF against medical management. Feasibility is defined as both efficacy of PVI procedure in the HFpEF population in reducing the AF burden-the proportion of time the patients are in atrial fibrillation relative to total amount of recorded time-as well as the logistics involved in carrying out a single-center randomized control study involving PVI in HFpEF patients.

Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Using His/Left Bundle Branch Pacing vs Biventricular Pacing with a Left Ventricular Epicardial Lead in Patients with Heart Failure (HF) with left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) ≤ 50% and with either a Wide QRS complex (> 130 ms) or with/anticipated > 40% Pacing Randomized Clinical Trial (RCT). (Left vs Left RCT)

This trial evaluates the effects of His or left bundle branch pacing (LBBP) comparative to biventricular pacing on quality of life, exercise capacity, hospitalization for heart failure, and mortality in patients with HF and conduction system disease.

To create a repository of specimens and data that can be used for future cardiovascular disease research studies.

Randomized trial of ELEVATEd cardiac pacing rate for personalized treatment of Heart Failure with preserved Ejection Fraction (ELEVATEHFpEF)

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of dual chamber personalized pacing compared to minimal or no pacing for the treatment of HFpEF. Personalized pacing is defined as programming a pacemaker's lower rate to a value based on the patient's LVEF and height.The results from this study may be used to support an indication for a personalized cardiac pacing rate in patients with HFpEF.
